The Brookhaven Bears gave it their all this baseball season bringing home recognition for their performance both on the field and in the classroom.

The Bears went 23-7 for the season and claimed their second Metro Athletic Conference Title in five years with an 11-3 win over Richland College. They went on to win three postseason games and made it to the District C Finals.

Additionally, Brookhaven boasted 16 MAC academic award winners (GPA 3.25 or higher in a semester) and two Academic All-Americans (GPA of 3.6 or higher for the entire school year).

A great season requires motivation and support on and off the field and those efforts were recognized for Coach Brandon Rains who was named the Metro Athletic Conference Coach of the Year. In March, Rains marked his 200th career game win as a head coach.

Congratulations to the Brookhaven Bears and Coach Rains for an amazing season.
