The Brookhaven College Women's Soccer Team capped off their undefeated 2019 campaign by winning the NJCAA DIII National Championship Tournament. The Bears beat Rowan College South Jersey-Gloucester 2-0 in the Quarterfinals. Brookhaven then scored three times in the first 15 minutes of the Semifinals to down Brookdale 3-0. In the Championship match, the Brookhaven Bears faced the Delta Pioneers. The match remained in a scoreless deadlock until a Brookhaven tally in the 49th minute. Then National Tournament Offensive MVP Freshman Forward Tori Sifuentes gave the Bears a 2-0 lead in the 75th minute. Sophomore Defender Alex Sandlin garnered Tournament MVP honors. Freshman Defender Reagan Eichel, Sophomore Midfielder Paige Pak, and Sophomore Goalkeeper Vanessa Villanueva were named to the All Tournament Team, and Coach Jimmy Elder was selected as the Coach of the Tournament. The win completes a 17-0-1 season for the Bears with an aggregate score of 80-5. Also winning in 2017, the Championship marks Brookhaven's second in three seasons.
